Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton, IL is looking for part and full-time CNAs!

Summary:

CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) provide direct care to meet the total needs of residents.

Essential Duties:

  • CNAs provide direct care of residents including but not limited to:
    • Take vital signs: pulse, respiration, temperature
    • Complete hygiene tasks (ex: bathing, toileting, hair care, nail care)
    • Assist with dressing residents
    • Provide comfort measures (ex: back rubs, application of heat & cold, turning & positioning of residents)
    • Promptly respond to resident’s call lights
    • Collect specimens except blood
    • Provide rehabilitative and restorative measures
    • Serve meal trays and feed residents
    • Transport residents to various departments and activities
  • CNAs observe and report the following:
    • Changes in physical or mental condition of residents
    • Need for social, emotional or spiritual assistance
    • Broken or unsafe equipment or furniture
    • Pertinent information affecting quality of care
  • CNAs assist in maintaining clean, safe, attractive environment for residents including.
  • Communicate with residents, families and staff in order to provide information on residents, to maintain continuity of care, to provide care for all needs, and to maintain good public relations
  • Participate in meetings and staff development programs relating to improvement of care, policies, procedures and equipment
  • Assists with the training of new staff
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Ability to hear, see, and speak clearly
  • Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in the English language
  • Successful completion of an approved Certified Nurse Assistant training course
  • Must be active and in good standing with the Illinois CNA Registry
  • Positive attitude and caring approach required
  • Must be available to work every other weekend & rotating holidays


Physical Requirements:
Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to lift and/or move up to 75lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
