Job Overview
Role Summary
The Vending Systems Configuration Specialist L2 assists with physical and backend configuration tasks for vending machines and lockers prior to customer site deployment. This warehouse-based role supports the preparation of machines to meet customer-specific operational requirements under established processes and guidance. The role requires adaptability and a willingness to learn, as customer specifications and requests may vary. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, developing technical aptitude, and the ability to follow documented procedures while collaborating closely with more senior team members.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Assist in configuring vending machines and lockers using Cribmaster software and backend systems, following documented configuration standards and work instructions.
Support the setup of planograms, customer profiles, and inventory settings based on predefined customer requirements.
Perform basic setup and testing of badge reader systems, authentication methods, and access control configurations under guidance.
Assist with configuring networking equipment and connectivity to support customer roster management and reporting.
Execute pre-deployment testing checklists to validate machine functionality prior to customer site delivery, escalating issues as needed.
Accurately document configuration activities and assist in generating vending machine reporting.
Collaborate with operations and customer support team members to identify recurring issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications Required
1-3 years of experience in warehouse operations, technical support, equipment configuration, or a related entry-level role
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures and checklists
Basic organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured environment
Demonstrated technical aptitude and willingness to learn new systems and tools
Comfort working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities under supervision
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to Cribmaster software or similar inventory/vending management systems
Familiarity with vending machines, lockers, or automated equipment in a warehouse or operations environment
Basic understanding of badge readers, access control systems, or authentication technologies
Introductory experience with networking equipment or device connectivity (e.g., cabling, basic device setup)
Background in warehouse operations, supply chain, logistics, or technical support roles
Exposure to inventory management concepts or planogram execution
Work Environment
This position is performed onsite at our Kent warehouse facility.
The warehouse environment includes concrete floors, moderate noise, and varying temperatures depending on the season.
Employees may be exposed to dust, packaging, and shipping materials during daily tasks.
All employees are expected to follow safety protocols and use PPE when required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
Regularly lift, carry, or move items weighing up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of equipment and packages.
Ability to safely operate carts, pallet jacks, and related warehouse equipment.
