Responsibilities

The Research Associate role supports activities that are integral to the conduct of clinical research at Northside Hospital. Specifically, this position helps support research operations through the execution of departmental projects, leveraging data from and generating reports out of research systems and through supporting clinical research to ensure good clinical practice and protocol compliance. This role routinely works with sensitive or confidential information, documents and issues.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Life Science, Health Science, or Public Health.
  • One (1) year of healthcare experience.

PREFERRED:

  • Masters of Science Degree from an accredited college or university in a data driven research-related field (allied health, biological sciences, chemistry, economics, informatics, mathematics, psychology, sociology, epidemiology, public health, etc).
  • Three (3) to (5) years relevant work experience in a Clinical Research setting.
  • Knowledge of key research regulations (e.g., FDA / OHRP / ORI / DHHS / NIH).
  • General understanding of human subject protection and Institutional Review Board regulation and operation.
  • Proficient in applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with the following applications: Onsemble OnCore, Florence eBinders, Florence eConsent, YUNU, CTSU OPEN, Medidata, WCG ClinSphere, IRBNet.
  • Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) through Association of Clinical Research Professional (ACRP) and/or the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of clinical research practices including federal regulations, federal grant and clinical trials policy and regulations, management systems, and technology solutions used to coordinate clinical research.
  • Current and valid certificates of completion for all three (3) of the following Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) Program courses relevant to coordination of clinical research.
