Job Posting

Evaluates and assesses patients to establish functional, measurable goals to promote restoration of functional abilities. Provides treatment according to a written plan of care to meet established goals. Plans for discharge and communicates findings and progress according to professional licensure/certification, scope of practice and departmental/discipline policies and procedures. Produces other reports as needed. May supervise clinical students and support staff including certified/licensed assistants, technicians, and volunteers. Adheres to the ASHA Code of Ethics. Provides a caring relationship that facilitates health, and healing. Performs other duties as assigned.

Evaluates and assesses the patient based on subjective and objective information. Communicates results of the evaluation to patient and other caregivers. Provides treatment according to established goals on plan of care. Documents interventions/care in the patient's medical record. Evaluates effectiveness of plan of care and reassesses patient's functional status as needed. Provides discharge planning information which includes patient/family education, follow-up, and referral to community resources. Contributes to the development of staff and students. Participates in activities designed to improve health care delivery. Completes assigned goals.

Minimum required - Entry Level

Minimum Required - Education - Completion or an accredited Masters or Doctorate degree in Speech language Pathology, Communicative Disorders or Speech and Hearing Science.

Minimum Required - Basic computer literacy skills such as keyboarding, using a mouse, and navigating sites.

Successful completion of National Examination in Speech Language Pathology. Registered as a clinical fellow with state board of communciation disorders and sciences.
