Location: Hybrid (Supporting Pentagon, Arlington, VA)

Status: Contingent Hire – Full-Time – Hybrid

Clearance: US Citizens with Active TS/SCI Security Clearance (Required)

MUST HAVE: Demonstrated experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, or other Federal Government organizations data preparation, scripting, automation, data visualization, and analytics using modern programming languages and business intelligence tools.

Position Summary

The AI Data Analyst provides entry-level analytical and technical support to Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Installations and Logistics (I&L), and the Global Positioning Network (GPN) Program. Working in a hybrid or remote environment under the direction of the Senior AI Data Analyst / Analytics Team Lead, the position prepares data for analysis, develops automation scripts, executes routine analytical models, and produces dashboards and visualization products that support Department of Defense decision-making.

The AI Data Analyst assists in collecting, validating, transforming, and integrating structured and unstructured data from multiple Government systems while supporting enterprise data standards, repeatable analytics workflows, and automated reporting. The position contributes to the development of reusable scripts, dashboards, and data products that improve operational awareness, logistics readiness, and program performance.

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with an Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain a CAC card.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience supporting data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, or software development.
  • Experience using Python, SQL, or R for data preparation, scripting, automation, or analysis.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and at least one business intelligence platform such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Experience collecting, cleaning, validating, and transforming structured datasets.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL queries, and data management principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with senior analysts and Government personnel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, or other Federal Government organizations.
  • Experience developing automated data pipelines or reusable scripts.
  • Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, or other version-control platforms.
  • Experience with cloud analytics environments such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, AWS, or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with data governance, cybersecurity, and secure handling of Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).
  • Experience creating interactive dashboards and executive visualization products.
  • Exposure to artificial intelligence, machine learning, or predictive analytics concepts.

Primary Duties

  • Prepare, cleanse, validate, and transform structured and unstructured datasets supporting GPN analytics and Department of Defense decision-support activities.
  • Develop and maintain Python, SQL, and R scripts that automate recurring data preparation, transformation, validation, and reporting tasks.
  • Execute routine analytical models and assist with predictive analytics under the direction of the Senior AI Data Analyst.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, charts, scorecards, and visualization products using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
  • Support development of reusable data pipelines, scripts, templates, and automated workflows that improve analytical efficiency.
  • Perform data quality checks and assist in maintaining enterprise data standards established by the Analytics Team Lead.
  • Research data anomalies, resolve inconsistencies, and document corrective actions.
  • Support integration of data from multiple Government systems into consolidated analytical datasets.
  • Generate recurring reports, performance metrics, trend analyses, and data extracts supporting Government leadership.
  • Document scripts, queries, data models, and analytical procedures to ensure repeatability and knowledge transfer.
  • Assist with testing, validating, and deploying analytical products before Government delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior analysts, Government stakeholders, and technical personnel to resolve analytical issues and improve data quality.
  • Maintain compliance with Department of Defense cybersecurity, records management, and data governance requirements.
  • Perform additional analytical, scripting, automation, and reporting duties as assigned.
