At our inpatient Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility in Duncansville, PA, we help adults build healthier futures through evidence-based care and compassionate support.

We are currently seeking dedicated and motivated Behavioral Health Technicians (BHTs) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in behavioral health, mental health, addiction recovery, healthcare, or human services.

No prior behavioral health experience is required. We provide training and support to help you succeed in this rewarding role.


Position Summary

The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) plays an essential role in the delivery of residential treatment services by providing direct supervision, support, and engagement with clients throughout their recovery journey. BHTs assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment while supporting treatment goals and daily program operations.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesClient Support & Monitoring
  • Assist with the intake and orientation process for new clients
  • Observe and monitor client behavior, emotional well-being, and engagement in treatment
  • Support individualized treatment plan objectives and recovery goals
  • Respond appropriately to client concerns and behavioral situations, including crisis intervention when necessary
  • Build positive rapport with clients while maintaining professional boundaries
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in accordance with regulatory and program standards
  • Observe and document client self-administration of medication as applicable
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all client and company information
  • Complete all required trainings and compliance requirements
Program Operations
  • Coordinate and supervise daily client activities and schedules
  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and orderly treatment environment
  • Assist with client dietary and daily living needs as required
  • Support the treatment team in providing high-quality care
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required QualificationsEducation
  • High School Diploma or GED required
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in behavioral health, human services, healthcare, residential treatment, or related fields preferred but not required
Preferred Certifications
  • CPR Certification
  • AED Certification
  • First Aid Certification

Physical Requirements
  • Frequent standing, walking, and movement throughout the facility
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to assist with daily program operations
  • Ability to respond appropriately during emergency situations
