This Opportunity:

  • Apply electrical engineering principles to the design of power distribution, lighting, and other electrical systems for commercial, multifamily residential, industrial, institutional, and government facilities.
  • Perform electrical calculations and evaluate existing systems to support design decisions.
  • Prepare construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, including plans, one-line diagrams, electrical details, schedules, and other project documentation, along with specifications and construction cost estimates, under the supervision of licensed Professional Engineers.
  • Perform field investigations and site visits to document existing conditions, verify field information, and assess the condition of existing electrical equipment and systems.
  • Assist with technical reports, engineering studies, facility assessments, code reviews, and recommendations for repairs or system improvements.
  • Coordinate electrical designs with architects, other engineering disciplines, utilities, and project team members.
  • Assist with construction administration activities, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and performing site observations.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, utilities, and project team members throughout planning, design, and construction.
  • Continue developing technical knowledge through mentorship, project experience, and professional development opportunities.
  • Follow the policies and procedures outlined in SEH's Employee Handbook.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience using Revit or AutoCAD.
  • Coursework, internship, co-op, or project experience related to building electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, industrial power systems, or electrical system design.
  • Must reside within the Denver metropolitan area or be willing to relocate.
  • Ability to obtain Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for project meetings, client meetings, and site visits.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Willingness to ask questions, seek guidance, and take on increasing responsibility.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-2 experience with an MEP consulting engineering firm.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
  • Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), NFPA standards, and applicable building and energy codes.
