Job description

Voice Tracker/KGBI

The Voice Tracker is responsible for creating engaging, ministry-focused programming through pre-recorded segments that align with Life 100.7's music policy and format. This role includes delivering content and voice track material for assigned broadcasts in a professional and caring manner, while collaborating with Life 100.7's leadership to maintain consistent, mission-driven content.

This position requires regular on-site attendance during scheduled work hours and as needed to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Voice track entertaining programming that engages listeners in a professional and caring manner, based on established best industry practices.
  • Host music segments in accordance with music policy and stated format. Deliver announcer copy as requested.
  • Ad-lib short transitions well, espousing licensee's goals and views.
  • Work with Program Director and Station Manager to remain current on content expectations and formatics. Regularly communicate with Program Director regarding observations, problems, and suggestions.
  • Represent Life 100.7/KGBI in person at concerts and community events as requested.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications

Required:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern's mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community

Nice to Have:
• Previous broadcast or related experience

• Written & Verbal Communication: Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
• Driver's License: Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
• Background Check: Must pass initial and ongoing background checks as a condition of employment.

The work environment involves working for a suburban, Christian university or Christian owned and operated radio station alongside those with a demonstrated commitment and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a commitment to the mission and values of Northwestern, and an agreement to abide by all Northwestern policies.
