Position Summary

Vallen is seeking dependable and safety-focused Temp Service Tech-Rental and Turnaround- (Hole Watch / Bottle Watch / Fire Watch) to support upcoming turnaround and maintenance activities in the Victoria area. This is a temporary, project-based role that is expected to last 5-7 days, ideal for individuals with strong safety awareness and the ability to work in industrial environments.

This position plays a critical role in ensuring safe work conditions during confined space entry, hot work activities, and compressed gas monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor workers during confined space entry (Hole Watch) to ensure safety compliance and maintain constant communication.
  • Conduct Bottle Watch oversight, ensuring safe use, handling, and monitoring compressed gas cylinders.
  • Remain alert and ready to initiate emergency procedures if unsafe conditions arise.
  • Maintain accurate logs, permits, and documentation related to safety monitoring activities.
  • Enforce site-specific safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations.
  • Assist with setting up and breakdown of safety equipment as needed.
  • Communicate hazards or concerns immediately to supervisors or site safety personnel.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial safety, turnaround work, or plant environments is a plus.
  • Experience as a fire watch, hole watch, or safety attendant strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to report to assigned job sites.
