Summary of Role:
Our Fab 8 team is seeking entry-level Process Engineers for our Malta, NY location. The individual selected for this position will be part of the Engineering organization with primary responsibilities focused on support and continuous improvement of semiconductor equipment and processes.
Essential Responsibilities include:
  • Support process transfer, equipment planning, selection, configuration, installation, startup, and volume ramp for the relevant process.

  • Establish and document the process engineering business processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) necessary to run tools in production.

  • Create training materials and provide training for shift technicians.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and equipment suppliers to support timely ramp-up plans.

  • Collaborate with Process Integration, Manufacturing, Technology Development, and vendors/suppliers. After equipment startup and ramp, support daily sustaining activities, performance tracking, equipment matching, and continuous improvement.

  • Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC), structured problem-solving skills, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods.

Other Responsibilities:
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:
  • Education - Graduating with a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Solid State Physics or related field from an accredited degree program.

  • Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

  • Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience

  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

  • Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong planning & organizational skills
