RN-ER Flow Coordinator
Part-Time| Second Shift
Emergency Dept. I Corbin, KY
Baptist Health Corbin Emergency Department (ED) is a Level IV Trauma Designated unit with 28 beds that provides comprehensive, around-the-clock care to patients of all ages. The department treats a wide range of conditions, from non-emergent complaints to life-threatening illnesses and injuries. A dedicated split-flow area supports efficient evaluation and treatment of fast-track patients with lower acuity needs. Additionally, the ED includes a behavioral health intake area designed to safely assess and manage patients presenting with mental health and behavioral health concerns.
The patient flow coordinator is an entry-level management position responsible for the overall movement of patients through the ED in a safe and efficient manner. He/she will coordinate all patient care activities, mitigate delays, and be a liaison with the ED medical staff and other departments to ensure that care is delivered in an efficient and safe manner. The patient flow coordinator appropriately delegates the workload and is a role model for teamwork, leadership, and professionalism in the ED.

  • Monitor patient flow data, identify delays, and escalate issues as needed.

Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure or work permit in Kentucky.
  • Bachelor's or an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college/university.
  • Three (3) years of clinical management experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support is required. New employees requiring CPR-Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association should receive (CPR) training within the first week of orientation
  • ACLS, PALS, Basic Cardiac Arrythmia, NIH Stroke Certification, Glucometer Training, 12 Lead, Aegis Training, Nurse Wound Care, TNCC.
