Job description

The STEM Teacher will be responsible for delivering integrated STEM education to middle and elementary school students, utilizing educational technology and project-based learning methods including Lego Spike Prime. This role emphasizes student engagement and effective classroom management while fostering a collaborative learning environment. The teacher will also lead STEM-related extracurricular activities.


This is a part time position with 6-8 hours a week with occassional weekend for competitions.


Responsibilities

  • Deliver integrated STEM instruction for middle and elementary school students
  • Manage classroom independently to maintain an engaging learning environment
  • Engage students through project-based learning and use of educational technology tools
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities
  • Provide support to students at competitions which includes schedule and prep management

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's in childhood education a plus
  • Entry-level experience in teaching
  • Experience in STEM curriculum a plus
  • Proficiency in classroom management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with staff
