Job description

Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, has a full-time position available for an Engineer in Training to join our collaborative and innovative water resources team as a Entry-Level Stormwater Engineer.
Responsibilities include:
  • Assisting with the design of stormwater management facilities and other water resources (drinking water and/or sewer systems) projects
  • Collaborating with project managers and senior engineers
  • Assisting with the research, planning, and calculations
  • Supporting preparation of reports, technical memoranda, cost estimates, specifications, design plans, studies, and permits

Some travel will be required
The successful candidate must have:
  • A bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited college or university

The ideal candidate will have experience with any/all of the following:
  • EIT certification
  • Relevant internship experience
  • Assisting with the design of stormwater management systems
  • Assisting with the design of drinking water and/or sewer systems
  • Assisting Preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for civil infrastructure projects (emphasis on water resources projects)
  • Knowledge of software programs associated with hydraulic and/or hydrologic modeling (such as HydroCAD, PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and WWHM)
  • Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS software
