Job description

Position Summary:
The Scaffold Helper is an entry-level position responsible for assisting scaffold carpenters and leadmen in the safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding systems. This role requires close supervision and a strong willingness to learn proper scaffold procedures and safety practices. The ideal candidate will be dependable, safety-focused, and eager to develop skills in the scaffold trade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Leadman and Carpenter in the erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures.
  • Help transport materials and equipment to designated work areas.
  • Participate in the chain line process to safely pass scaffold components.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with housekeeping upon completion of scaffold tasks.
  • Help secure and load scaffold materials for transportation to and from job sites.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Leadman or Carpenter to support daily operations.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of scaffolding materials and procedures preferred.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work under direct supervision.
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
  • Physically able to lift and carry materials and work at heights as required.
  • Reliable attendance and a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol testing (some client sites require this)
