Job description
- Assist with updating and maintaining project documentation such as schedules, action logs, meeting notes, and basic risk or issue entries.
- Gather project updates from team members and ensure data is captured accurately in approved tools.
- Support preparation of routine project status inputs and assist with assembling briefing materials.
- Participate in project meetings to capture discussion points, document follow‑up actions and coordinate assigned tasks.
- Help maintain document repositories, shared folders, and configuration‑controlled project files following established practices.
- Coordinate with team members to collect updates, clarify assigned tasks, and support the flow of project information.
- Communicate routine project updates clearly and ensure information being shared is timely and accurate.
- Assist in recognizing potential risks, delays, or conflicts in task coordination and elevate concerns appropriately.
- Support compliance with project expectations, including adherence to guidance derived from frameworks such as NPR 7120.x, NIST, or OMB memorandums, as directed by senior staff.
- Identify small process or documentation improvements based on day‑to‑day work experience.
- Assist in implementing new templates, workflows, or documentation practices to support overall team efficiency.
- Participate in discussions related to service improvement efforts and help gather feedback or data to support refinement efforts.
- Assist with tracking project deliverables, due dates, and document submissions to ensure nothing is missed.

- Minimum Education: BA/BS
- Minimum Experience: 1–3 years of experience supporting projects in IT, infrastructure, government, technical, or operational environments. Experience may include coordination, documentation, scheduling, or other project support activities.
- Foundational understanding of project management concepts, tools, and practices.
- Basic familiarity with IT terminology, systems, or infrastructure environments.
- Ability to maintain documentation, track assigned tasks, and support coordination activities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple small tasks simultaneously.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to support interactions with technical and non-technical team members.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn project management frameworks, tools, and governance expectations.
