Job description

    Employee-Owned Premier Countertop Manufacturer company is seeking a Computer Aided Design (CAD) Operator for a full-time position.

    Job Summary:

    This position creates drawings using AutoCAD for shop production and dealers.

      Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: (Additional duties may be assigned)

        • Interpret field drawings provided by Field Templaters to create drawings for countertop production.
        • Provide approval drawings for dealer review from their design.
        • Maintain a neat and clean work area.
        • Perform related duties as assigned to meet department or company objectives.

        Accountabilities:

        • Contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.  Follow all company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook. 

          Minimum Qualification Standards:

          • High school diploma or equivalent required.
            • Associate degree or certification in AutoCAD design, preferred.
              • Equivalent combinations of education and work experience will be considered.

                Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  

                • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
                • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced, stressful environment. 

                  Physical and Mental Requirements:

                  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands to finger, grasp, handle or feel, and perform repetitive motions of the hands and/or wrists.
                  • Close mental and visual attention are required to perform work dealing primarily with preparing and analyzing data and figures, using a computer terminal.

                    Physical Exertion:

                    • Must be able to sit and work at a computer for long periods of time.

                    Environmental Conditions:

                    • The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that may be encountered while performing the essential functions of this position.
                    • There is no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  Work is performed in a typical office work environment.
