Job description
AmpThink is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Structured Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems within various high-profile venues across North America. Requirements
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the installation and termination of structured cabling including Cat 5/6, Fiber Optic cables, and associated hardware.
- Help perform site surveys and assess locations for cable runs and equipment installation.
- Adhere to quality standards and best practices for structured cabling installations.
- Collaborate with senior technicians to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving cabling issues at various venues.
- Maintain documentation of installations and work performed.
- Support all safety and environmental guidelines in the workplace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree in telecommunications or related field is a plus.
- Basic understanding of structured cabling systems and components.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow directions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to rapidly changing technologies.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Valid driver's license and a willingness to travel as needed.
