Position Overview
Villara Building Systems is an Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing (MEP) contactor providing construction services for residential and commercial projects throughout California.
As our Electrical Division continues to grow, we are looking for electricians to support our new projects. We have multiple large-scale projects starting over the next few months. This is a unique ground-floor opportunity to join a growing team.
We are seeking self-motivated, hardworking individuals who are eager to learn, develop new skills, and be a part of team. Whether you're beginning your career or looking to expand your experience in the electrical construction industry, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals while helping deliver successful projects from concept through construction.
We are currently hiring Electrical Trainees, Foreman and Certified Journeymen in the areas of Santa Cruz, Menlo Park and Lafayette.
Technical Responsibilities
  • Underground conduit, trenching, and risers.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, 2D shop drawings and 3D modeling.
  • Install electrical panels, circuit breakers, transformers, switches, outlets, and lighting systems.
  • Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and repair faults in wiring, circuits, and equipment.
  • Underground PVC conduit, trenching, concrete boxes and riser locations.
  • Ensure all electrical installations comply with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Material requisitions, receive and check in.
  • Install and terminate power and control cables, conduits, cable trays, and raceways.
  • Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or code violations.
  • Perform grounding and bonding of electrical systems.
  • Install and maintain emergency power systems, UPS systems, and backup generators.
  • Support commissioning and startup of electrical equipment and systems.
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and test results.
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other trades during installation and maintenance projects.
  • Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and other electrical safety protocols.
  • Replace defective electrical components, fuses, relays, contactors, and circuit breakers.
