Job description

Primary Function

The Hybrid Route Trainee (Med Cert) is an entry-level training position responsible for learning delivery, unloading, and merchandising functions while safely servicing retail accounts. The role supports route operations and prepares the employee for independent route or CDL-related responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and unload product as ordered while assisting with daily route execution.
  • Stock, rotate, clean, and maintain product in shelves, coolers, fast lanes, and promotional displays according to company standards.
  • Learn and utilize ordering systems, equipment, and required documentation, including DSD reporting.
  • Maintain organized backroom inventory and ensure proper product handling.
  • Provide professional customer service and maintain positive relationships with account personnel.
  • Maintain a safe, clean work environment and comply with all safety and DOT requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to pass and maintain DOT medical requirements.
  • Strong driving record.
  • Previous route delivery, stocking, merchandising, or retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with availability for some holidays.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, lift up to 30 pounds overhead, push and pull product (including stairs), and perform frequent bending, kneeling, and stooping.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for up to eight (8) hours per day and work in varying weather conditions.
  • Demonstrated dependability, integrity, initiative, attention to detail, and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to pass required background checks, Motor Vehicle Report review, and company drug testing requirements.
