QA Coordinator

Job Profile: JP100282

Position Summary: The Quality Assurance Coordinator acts as a liaison throughout the production process to ensure compliance to all respective codes, company policies, and quality of the product(s).

Duties / Responsibilities:

Identifying service issues within the facility

Analyzing root causes of service issues

Recommending improvements / corrections to mitigate future service issues

Maintain current master copy of all documents including supplier data, supplier audit reports, DAPIA, ECR's, record of changes, CEF forms, etc.

Distribute materials (DAPIA updates, supplier data, product standards, etc.) with explanation of changes / additions

Maintenance of the on-line DAPIA

Initiate ECR's for proposed changes or modifications of the DAPIA designs or floor plans

Follow up with all paperwork distributions to assure changes are being made in accordance with distributed drawings and specifications

Perform a systematic, documented line inspection, in a 15-day rotation of CCI items, material installation, and observation of testing equipment

Follow up inspections of yard work and re-testing

Ensure that the QA Administration - FTC Database is updated routinely and monitor for repetitive issues

During IPIA inspections, escort the IPIA throughout the plant

Assist in the accurate and timely completion of HUD 302, Alternate Construction, and Energy Star reports

Provide QA and DAPIA training with team members as needed

Ensure QA Administrative database for Training is updated timely and accurately

Maintain testing certification(s) as required

Report all quality control and IPIA findings, complete CEF as needed

Keep the General Manager and Production Manager aware of problem areas and top three issues

Assist with maintaining QA information boards

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma / GED or equivalent experience required

Construction industry experience preferred

Ability to read and interpret architectural / engineering drawings and specifications

Ability to take a proactive approach to quality

Working knowledge of facility machines, tools, and equipment

Ability to track and report on quality issues

Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively with all team members at all levels within the facility

Solid understanding of construction trades and quality practices, codes, regulations, etc.
