Actalent is Hiring a Team of Entry-Level Biomedical Technicians!! Day and Night Shift Available!

Job Description

The Biomedical Technician produces high-quality pre-operative surgical plans by transforming CT scans into precise 3D anatomical bone models used in robotic-assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures. This role focuses on accurate case creation, meticulous image review, and consistent documentation to support surgical teams and meet department production targets in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage surgical planning cases using a proprietary case management system.
  • Review CT scans to ensure conformity with established surgical protocols.
  • Segment CT scans using specialized software to generate accurate 3D anatomical bone models for use in robotic surgery.
  • Develop detailed pre-operative surgical plans based on digital bone models for robotically assisted total hip and total knee replacement procedures.
  • Review CT segmentations and surgical plans for accuracy of anatomical landmark selection, implant sizing, and implant positioning.
  • Upload completed pre-operative plans to field-based personnel in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Document all activities in accordance with prescribed methods, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Follow work instructions exactly to deliver consistent, high-quality output.
  • Apply efficient work methods to handle multiple cases and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain strong customer service orientation and effective communication with internal stakeholders.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience, or equivalent education such as an associate's degree or above.
  • Foundational knowledge in biology, biological science, biomedical engineering, or anatomy.
  • Ability to review CT scans and understand medical imaging concepts including CT, X-ray, and MRI.

Work Environment

Office setting. M-F 7am-3:30pm OR 3:30pm-12am. On site role.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pembroke Pines, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
