QC Lab Technician

This entry level position is predominantly responsible for microbiological testing and environmental monitoring. It is a Quality Control based position for the Microbiology department. The role also includes maintenance of controlled areas, environmental monitoring and analysis of results. Work is technical and specialized, requiring accuracy and attention to detail. Testing is defined according to standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities/essential functions include:
Performs required bioburden, bacterial endotoxin testing and sterility testing.
Performs viable and non-viable environmental monitoring.
Reads and interprets environmental monitoring results.
Operates non-viable particle counter/facility monitoring systems.
Performs computer data entry with programs such as Microsoft Excel and MODA.
Maintains accurate records of environmental data and testing.
Performs sanitation for testing hoods and enclosures.
Prepares supplies for sterilization (autoclave) and depyrogenation.
Assists in the stocking and supplying of the QC Micro lab.
Workers will be working around radiation they will be trained and provided safety material prior to being put in that environment
Fast paced environment.

Required skill set: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Sciences (preferred Biological Sciences), would prefer some experience with Microbiology or Biology (this can be from school and not necessarily working experience). This would be considered an entry level position with minimal experience required.

Degree in a science related field or working experience in manufacturing or a laboratory setting
2. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write in local language
3. Ability to lift 25lbs
