Job description

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks an Office Services Assistant for its Winston-Salem office. This entry-level position supports a variety of office operations, including operating high-volume duplicating equipment, performing duplication, and scanning tasks, and hospitality functions, shipping and receiving products and supplies, and sorting, distributing, and processing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes. The role also includes applying postage, maintaining, and repairing office services equipment, and completing off-site pickups and deliveries in a timely and professional manner. Additional entry-level responsibilities may include bindery work, quality control and final checks, housekeeping, file services, and message center support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Run high-volume copy machines and perform binding and finishing work.
  • Scan and distribute documents as requested.
  • Maintain records for management and inventory purposes.
  • Distribute office supplies, fax transmissions, and mail as designated.
  • Respond to and coordinate all service calls.
  • Deliver work to businesses and residences as requested.
  • Perform courier services.
  • Perform duties related to the shipping of materials.
  • Perform housekeeping and hospitality duties as assigned.
  • Perform message center duties as assigned and provide receptionist coverage.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Some related customer service experience is preferred.
  • Requires a valid driver's license and dependable mode of transportation with minimum levels of auto insurance coverage due to frequent travel/courier services to other offices and/or client/attorney residences or offices.
  • Working knowledge of basic office equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and imaging software.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly to complete projects.
  • Ability to comprehend instructions concerning mail delivery.
  • Possess troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Possess ability to read and comprehend written technical information.
  • Possess excellent customer relations skills and excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Deals with tight deadlines and quick turnaround.
  • Some physical effort is required which may involve long periods of standing, walking, bending, reaching, stretching, climbing or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 75 lbs. and in pushing or pulling machines on wheels, which may weigh up to 700 lbs.
  • Able to work in other WBD offices/locations as needed/assigned.
