Job description

Position Summary:
The Call Center Associate I will join our Bronx-Based call center team in order to support the operations of our various health centers. The incumbent must have the drive and ambition to work effectively in a fast paced and service-driven team. We are seeking customer service professionals with a passion for community based health care. Although remote, position requires some monthly onsite needs including training and meetings that are held in the Bronx- with this in mind, applicants must reside locally to the New York City market.
 
While company equipment will be furnished- incumbents must possess a desk space and area from home that is suitable for work without distractions and a desk that is able to securely fit dual monitor screens/computer/other hardware.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • This position is entry level, training provided. 
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Computer proficiency is a must. 
  • Self-motivation and commitment to EXCELLENCE. 

Key Duties:
  • Answers high volume telephone calls, schedules medical appointments, and relays messages according to the organization communication standards.
  • Responds to and resolves patient requests/concerns.
  • Refers clinical questions to medical providers.
  • Ensures confidentiality at all times in compliance with HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
  • Update existing patient demographic information.
  • Confirms insurance when necessary.
  • Completes rescheduling, canceling, and/or verifying patient's appointments as needed.
  • Exhibits "WE CARE" performance standards in accordance with Urban Health Plan's Operating Credo.

Starting Compensation: Minimum $18.00 Maximum $18.00/hour ($37,440/annum).
 
Work Environment Type, Location, and Schedule:
Remote, Bronx, NY, The schedules for this position is: Monday to Friday 10:00 am- 7:00 pm with rotating Saturday shifts 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
