Role Overview
We are seeking a mid to senior-level Hadoop Developer to design, develop, and optimize Big Data solutions. This role involves using the Hadoop ecosystem, including HDFS, Hive, and Spark, to efficiently process large-scale datasets. The position requires participation in the full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, and regular interaction with team members and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and optimize Big Data solutions using the Hadoop ecosystem.
  • Participate in the full development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, documentation, testing, and deployment.
  • Develop, test, and enhance Hadoop/Spark applications.
  • Troubleshoot data quality and integrity issues, identify root causes, and support production environments.
  • Assist the production support team in resolving critical issues.
  • Promote best practices in software development and testing across the team.
  • Lead small initiatives within an Agile team environment.

Required Qualifications
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in ETL processes and Big Data-Hadoop technologies.
  • Expertise in SQL testing.
  • Knowledge of Spark development, including performance optimization and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Unix, Data Warehousing, scheduling tools, and scripting.
