SUMMARY

Brooklyn Basketball brings the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty together to establish a community-first basketball experience. Our goal is to grow the game for participants of all ages through professionally-led clinics and camps, community-focused events, instructional videos, unique basketball content and much more. The Front Desk Associate helps create a welcoming, safe, and organized experience for athletes, families, and visitors at the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center. This entry-level role supports participant check-in, answers basic questions, keeps the front desk area organized, and assists with daily facility needs. Training will be provided on Brooklyn Basketball programs and front desk systems.

Front Desk Associates report to the Program Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Welcome athletes, families, coaches, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Check participants in for programs, confirm attendance, and direct guests to the correct court or area.
  • Answer basic questions in person and by phone about schedules, programs, pricing, and facility policies.
  • Assist with registrations and payments using Brooklyn Basketball systems.
  • Keep the front desk, lobby, and customer-facing areas clean, organized, and stocked with needed materials.
  • Communicate schedule changes, delays, or facility updates to guests as directed by a manager.
  • Follow visitor access, safety, and emergency procedures, and promptly report concerns or incidents.
  • Help with basic setup and cleanup for camps, clinics, leagues, practices, and special events.
  • Complete other front desk or facility support tasks assigned by the Program Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

  • Basic computer, tablet, email, and phone skills.
  • Previous customer service, front desk, recreation, hospitality, or youth sports experience is preferred but not required.
  • Interest in basketball or youth development is a plus.
  • Availability to work part-time shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and special events.
  • Ability to sit or stand for portions of a shift and move throughout the facility as needed.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.

  • Able to stay organized and attentive in a busy environment.
  • Able to work independently while asking for help when needed.

COMPENSATION

$25.00 per hour

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Works primarily in-person at the Brooklyn Basketball Training Center
  • May be required to work weekends or nights as needed.
  • May be required to travel on rare occasions (<5% travel)
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs
