Job Summary
As a Café & Event Crew Member, you will work as part of our customer-facing and event support team at the SoccerPlex. This role includes preparing and serving food and beverages in the café, assisting Adult League Supervisors with check-in and scorekeeping, and supporting tournaments and special events with setup, cleanup, and miscellaneous tasks. This is a fast-paced, multi-faceted position requiring flexibility, a positive attitude, and strong customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
Café Responsibilities
  • Greet customers, input orders into a point-of-sale system, and accept payments
  • Prepare and serve food and beverages for consumption on-site
  • Operate café equipment including toaster oven, hot dog roller, nacho cheese & chips dispenser, and coffee machine
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of café and food prep areas
  • Ensure the café is fully stocked and notify Café Manager of any shortages
  • Maintain a neat and professional appearance in accordance with the SoccerPlex dress code

League & Event Support Responsibilities
  • Assist Adult League Supervisors with check-in for Adult 7v7 Soccer and Adult Basketball leagues
  • Help with scorekeeping and operating the game clock during basketball games
  • Support tournaments and special events with setup, cleanup, and other miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Ensure event areas are clean, safe, and organized
  • Provide customer service to participants, referees, and team captains

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be at least 16 years old and fluent in English
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability on Fridays and weekends, evenings as needed
  • Friendly, professional, and customer-service oriented
  • Previous experience in food service, customer service, or event/league operations preferred but not required
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
