Overview

Oak View Group (OVG) is seeking dependable, and detail-oriented part-time Grounds Crew Operations to support year-round operations at both the LeLacheur Park and the Tsongas Center. This team is essential to maintaining the professional standards of each venue, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and fully prepared for events.

During baseball season, staff members play a crucial role in preserving the integrity, safety, and appearance of the playing field, including precise line painting, mound care, and overall field preparation.

This role pays an hourly rate of $18.75

This position will remain open until May 29, 2026.

Responsibilities
  • Represent OVG with a high level of professionalism at all times in both venues
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, seating, staging, and event materials
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all facility areas
  • Perform essential baseball field maintenance at LeLacheur Park, including:
    • Grooming, edging, and daily infield upkeep
    • Painting and maintaining field lines, including batter's boxes, foul lines, on-deck circles, and other field markings
    • Proper maintenance of the pitcher's mound and bullpen mounds, including clay work, tamping, moisture management, and shaping
    • Watering, raking, and maintaining turf and dirt surfaces to professional standards
    • Ensuring the field's overall integrity and safety before and after games
  • Support event and facility operations at the Tsongas Center, including ice and arena surface preparation
  • Install and remove protective flooring, barricades, and equipment as needed
  • Assist with snow and ice removal during winter months
  • Follow all OVG safety procedures and report hazards or maintenance concerns
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with venue staff, vendors, coaches, athletes, and event partners
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
Qualifications

Experience:

  • Previous experience in groundskeeping, turf management, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of field maintenance techniques and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and maintain machinery and tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
