This role includes reviewing tax information for various investment types, assisting with reconciliation, and preparing tax estimates and returns.

What You'll Do:

  • Review fiduciary income tax returns, including coordination of payment for balances due and distribution of Schedule K-1 to beneficiaries
  • Monitor tax return preparation process to ensure timely completion
  • Assist with quarterly tax projections and coordinate payment of tax estimates
  • Address tax notices by contacting tax agencies and/or preparing response letters
  • Assist with tax, estate, and financial planning opportunities
  • Assist with generating annual tax worksheets, including monitoring of income reallocation factors for mutual funds, master limited partnerships, original issue discounts, unit investment trusts, mortgage-backed securities, and real estate mortgage investment conduits
  • Coordinate filing of tax informational forms (i.e., Forms 1099-DIOB, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-R, 5498, etc.)
  • Prepare quarterly and/or annual federal and state tax withholding returns
  • Oversee tax return processing to maintain quality control and ensure tasks are completed
  • Perform monthly tasks to support functional areas within the tax and operations departments, including review of trust accounting data recorded in FIS Addvantage and troubleshooting problems to ensure data integrity and seamless integration of transaction data mapped to OneSource Trust Tax software, and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and/or annual federal and state tax withholdings informational returns
  • Work on other special projects assigned by the tax and operations department managers, including assisting with drafting/updating tax procedures
  • Some travelling may be required to attend tax conferences.

Pay Range: $26.88 - $35.83 HourlyThis hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
