Job description

Entry level sales position in the Retail Financial Services Division. Incumbents will be charged with obtaining the various licenses required for this position as well as learning operations standards and sales techniques necessary for success as a Financial Consultant. Will be required to meet with customers and prospects to determine investments and insurance needs, recommends appropriate products, and makes appropriate referrals to business partners. Monitors client investment performance and makes appropriate recommendations. Meets regularly with assigned branches to discuss sales ideas, referral opportunities, sales efforts, current investment climate, customer insights and results.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor degree in related financial services field or equivalent education and experience

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of general business practices

  • Effective communication skills

  • Effective interpersonal skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365

Unique Job Characteristics and Requirements:

Ability to obtain Series 7, 63registration and Life & Health Insurance Licenses within 12months of assuming job responsibilities.

Tasks Performed:

  • 50% Interviews and profiles customers/prospects to determine investment and insurance needs, recommend appropriate products, and makes appropriate referral to branch or to other members of regional market teams. Monitors client investment performance and makes appropriate recommendations.
  • 25% Provide sales assistance to Financial Consultants
  • 20% Develops and executes individual business plans to meet sales goals. Maintains minimum assigned level of production consistent with individual or team goals.
  • 5% Other duties as assigned.
