Job description

Overview
The Senior Cloud Administrator supports secure, scalable cloud infrastructure for a mission-critical federal environment. This role is responsible for helping architect, deploy, and manage AWS platforms, supporting emerging AI capabilities and modern containerized workloads, and ensuring compliance with federal security requirements. The position works closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to improve platform reliability, automate operations, and contribute to ongoing cloud strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure on the AWS GovCloud platform while ensuring compliance with applicable federal security standards.
  • Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Support emerging AI and machine learning capabilities and other cloud-native solutions within the enterprise cloud environment.
  • Build, maintain, and enhance infrastructure as code using Terraform and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment and use Jira to support project planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Ensure systems, configurations, and cloud operations meet NIST 800-53 and FISMA compliance requirements.
  • Automate operational tasks, monitor system health, and improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to cloud architecture decisions, platform standards, and long-term infrastructure strategy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Strong experience administering and supporting AWS cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience deploying and managing containerized workloads using Amazon EKS and Kubernetes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of infrastructure as code using Terraform and experience supporting CI/CD pipelines with GitLab.
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53 controls and FISMA compliance frameworks.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure, services, or related cloud-native technologies is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Jira for project collaboration and tracking.
  • AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer are preferred.
  • Experience supporting financial services or federal government environments is preferred.

Salary: $157,100 - $165,400.00
