Job description

Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group Company, is hiring an Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This is an entry-level aviation maintenance position designed for candidates with zero to two years of aircraft fuel system maintenance experience. The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician performs fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks within a Part 145 Repair Station environment while receiving hands-on training and building technical experience.
Position Overview
The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) reports to the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager and performs assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance in accordance with approved maintenance data, customer requirements and Repair Station procedures.
This position does not include management, supervisory or inspection responsibilities and is not authorized to approve maintained or altered articles for return to service. Certification under 14 CFR Part 65 is not required for this position.
Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks
  • Complete preventive maintenance and alteration work as directed
  • Follow applicable aircraft maintenance manuals and approved maintenance data
  • Ensure completed and partially completed maintenance activities are properly signed off
  • Perform maintenance activities in the appropriate sequence
  • Request required inspections in an orderly and timely manner
  • Follow applicable customer requirements
  • Verify that tools and test equipment used for airworthiness determinations are properly labeled and current
  • Request stock and materials required to complete assigned work
  • Accurately document completed maintenance activities
  • Complete required maintenance records and supporting paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Follow applicable FAR Part 145 and Part 43 requirements
  • Maintain familiarity with the company Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
  • Remain current on applicable revisions to company maintenance documentation
  • Record on-the-job training for assigned tasks
  • Immediately report procedures, practices or conditions that could lead to injury, inefficiency or unairworthy conditions
  • Follow all established safety and maintenance procedures

Qualifications
  • Zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience
  • Ability to understand and perform aircraft fuel system maintenance with training
  • Basic mechanical knowledge, experience or training
  • Mechanical experience preferred
  • Ability to follow maintenance manuals and technical instructions
  • Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately
  • Ability to work safely within a regulated aircraft maintenance environment
  • Willingness to learn aircraft fuel tank maintenance procedures
