If you’re detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn while working on a wide variety of newer vehicles across multiple brands, join the Avis Budget Group team and grow your skills in a supportive shop environment.


This role is a great entry point for technicians looking to gain experience, earn ASE certifications, and advance into higher-level mechanic roles.


What You’ll Do:

You will perform preventive maintenance and light repair work on our fleet of newer vehicles. This includes oil and fluid services, tire changes, rotations, basic repairs, and other routine maintenance tasks, all performed in a safe and quality-focused manner.


Depending on your experience, you may assist more experienced technicians with additional repairs and diagnostics as you continue to develop your skills. By helping keep vehicles well maintained and reliable, your work supports vehicle availability and ensures customers have a safe, dependable rental experience.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Driver’s License
• At least 6 months of auto maintenance experience or automotive technical school coursework
• Ability to obtain at least 1 ASE certification within the first year
• Comfortable working in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels
• Basic computer skills, including typing and data entry
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, continuously stand, bend, reach, walk, sit and kneel frequently, enter, exit and drive vehicles
• Must be 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
• 6 months auto maintenance experience or completion of an automotive technical school program is a bonus
