Job description

  • Hiring: Entry-Level Automotive Refinish Assistant
  • Company: W & W Collision Center
  • Location: Demorest, GA
  • Full-Time Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 5:00 pm

Our company originally began in 1973 as W & W Body Shop, an idea shared by two brothers who were both car enthusiasts. Starting with only two bays and a few tools, we have since grown tremendously to become one of the highest quality auto body shops in the North Georgia Mountains. Our mission is to be our community's first choice for collision repair because we care about the Family in the Car. It's not just a car, it's Your Family! After a brief retirement in 2012, we reopened as W & W Collision Center so we could keep our legacy and continue to serve our community!
Our family-owned business emphasizes satisfaction for our customers and growth for our employees. We are highly team-oriented, so it is vital for our employees to be able to successfully work together. Our shop cannot thrive without a strong team, which is why we offer our employees ongoing training opportunities so they can develop their skills. We also provide our team with great pay and generous benefits.
Core Responsibilities:
This is a great opportunity to break into the automotive industry, as you'll be working alongside experienced technicians to clean and refinish vehicle exteriors. You'll help tackle entry-level duties like preparing surfaces for paint, refinishing vehicles, and polishing exteriors. Following directions from your team, you'll help sand parts and panels, properly mask panels to protect from the paint, and apply all the appropriate substances (primers, sealers, basecoat, clear coat, etc.). You'll help finish everything off with abrasives, buffing equipment, and sanding products, refining the surfaces to make them smooth to the touch. Every day will bring new learning opportunities and new hands-on projects to complete!
The Qualifications:
  • Willingness to complete I-CAR and other required training
  • Ability to lift, squat, kneel, bend, and move parts weighing 70+ pounds
  • Ability to follow directions and coordinate efficiently with a team

  • Strong work ethic and drive to learn more
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
