As a Purchasing Associate, IT Procurement, you will support the procurement of software, SaaS subscriptions, cloud services, telecommunications solutions, IT consulting services, and technology hardware across the enterprise while ensuring compliance with approved purchasing policies and procedures. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop procurement and technology sourcing knowledge while partnering with Corporate Information Technology and business stakeholders with room for professional growth.

This is a full-time, entry-level position, based in our Reston, VA headquarters with a hybrid work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the procurement of technology products and services in accordance with approved procurement policies, procedures, and delegated authorities.
  • Review purchase requisitions, create purchase orders, and maintain procurement documentation in applicable systems.
  • Partner with Corporate Information Technology and business stakeholders to support technology procurement requirements.
  • Obtain and evaluate supplier quotations for enterprise software, cloud solutions, hardware, maintenance agreements, and telecommunications services, conduct supplier research, and support sourcing activities.
  • Coordinate with technology suppliers regarding pricing, order fulfillment, subscription renewals, licensing, maintenance agreements, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor purchase order status and resolve routine procurement issues with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Maintain procurement files and records to ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and government contracting regulations.
  • Support spend analysis, reporting activities, and continuous improvement initiatives related to technology procurement.
  • Maintain knowledge of organizational policies and procurement regulations affecting technology purchases.
  • Perform other procurement duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Technology or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skills acquired through alternative education, certifications, training programs, military experience, internships, or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated interest in procurement, supply chain management, business operations, information technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Information Technology or a related field.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in procurement.
  • Internship or prior experience supporting procurement, sourcing, or technology-related activities.
  • Knowledge of Deltek Costpoint is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FAR and CPSR requirements is a plus.
