Crestron/Extron Audio Visual (AV) Programmer

Location

Cerritos, CA

Audio Visual (AV) Programmer Position Summary

As GST's AV Control System Programmer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying control system code, audio files, and related equipment configurations. This position includes both in‑house system testing and on‑site commissioning at client locations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excels both independently and in collaboration with internal teams and clients.

Job Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret AV system drawings
  • Gather and document programming requirements
  • Provide control system design and review AV system design
  • Develop new modules, interfaces, and custom solutions
  • Create and maintain technical standards, processes, and procedures
  • Provide programming and technical guidance to project teams as needed
  • Develop control system and user interface programming based on project requirements
  • Install control programs and touch panel designs on‑site, off‑site, or remotely
  • Perform commissioning and acceptance testing of programmed systems
  • Test integrated systems and troubleshoot issues as required
  • Assist manufacturers and customers with technical problem resolution
  • Travel to job sites as needed
  • Utilize test and calibration equipment proficiently
  • Program in relevant AV and embedded system languages
  • Upload and download software to embedded systems
  • Design and program control systems (Crestron/AMX/Extron)
  • Understand and work with DSP programming
  • Communicate effectively with employees, clients, and partners
Qualifications
  • Previous experience with AV control systems, video conferencing, switching hardware, audio DSP setup, and calibration
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Programming or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of three years of Crestron or AMX control system programming experience
  • Harman Certified Control Professional (C‑P) required
  • Extron GC‑Pro certification required
  • Crestron and AMX certifications required
  • CTS or CTS‑D certification preferred
