Job description

Mindful Measures, Inc. is currently seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our team! This individual will be responsible for designing graphics and user experience/interface for our products. This individual will have an immediate impact at a fast-paced, startup company. If you are creative and curious to gain hands-on experience, join Mindful Measures' team of tech enthusiasts as a UI/X Designer!
Responsibilities Include

  • Clearly communicate concepts and design solutions through information architecture, user flow, low-fidelity wireframes, high-fidelity wireframes, and prototypes, and present to cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate understanding of visual/user experience design disciplines and principles.
  • Demonstrate fluency with design and prototyping software such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to create intuitive, user-friendly products.
  • Maintain the design throughout the development phase by working closely with engineering teams.
  • Refine and update content to respond to feedback from the management team or clients.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements, Ideal Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, UI/UX Design, Visual Design, or related disciplines required. (Current students encouraged to apply)
  • Possess a creative portfolio that showcases your work including UX documents, sitemaps, flows, and wireframes.
  • Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and knowledgeable in video editing software (i.e. Premiere Pro, After Effects).
  • Must be proficient in wireframing/prototyping/web technologies (i.e. Figma, InVision, Adobe XD).
  • Excellent computer knowledge of Windows.
  • Background or knowledge in usability testing and user-centered design is a plus.
  • Experience using HTML, CSS, and comparable languages is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of layouts, typography, colors, and other design fundamentals.
  • Good visual skills.
  • Able to collaborate actively and effectively with other teammates.
  • Can demonstrate a bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous, environment.
  • Able to manage time wisely across priorities and meet agreed-upon deadlines.
  • Passionate about your end-users and can demonstrate this passion through empathy, delivering great experiences, improving processes, and having a driven, user-focused mind.
