Audio Visual Installation Technician - Jacksonville, FL
Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated person who is looking to be part of a team to complete the task of project completion while maintaining customer satisfaction profitability. The Installation Technician will work in collaboration with the Operations team including the Project Manager, Programmer and the Design Engineer to achieve successful completions of installations and the closeout of each assigned project. As an AV Installation Technician, you will be expected to perform duties related to the integration of equipment and software of Audio Visual systems including but not limited to: cable pulls, cable terminations, system equipment and components installation, rack fabrication and wiring layout for equipment, written and verbal communications and reports.
We encourage training and promotion within to strengthen the team and develop the best crew in the industry. We strive for customer satisfaction and retention and our operations team and the installation technician plays a large roll in that objective.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Rack construction, pulling cable, and preparing equipment for installation
  • Installation of completed racks, projectors, displays, speakers, cameras and related mounts.
  • Testing and troubleshooting of system components for proper system functionality according to the SOW.
  • Assure each system with all components are in accordance with installation drawings.
  • Maintain and account for all assigned equipment inventory and assigned tools.
  • Turning in daily site reports and activity sheets.
  • Maintain an on-going communication with fellow Technicians and the Project Manager, ensuring that work quality, performance, and materials meet required schedules and expectations.
  • Daily travel to project sites for extended periods of time
  • Carry out other duties relative to the job as assigned by management.
  • Maintain professionalism and cooperative communication during all interactions (verbal or written) with customers, other onsite trades and AnuVision team members.
  • Stay updated on technology changes and attend training on new equipment or systems

Requirements
  • The position of Installation requires the following attributes: technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, self-discipline, focus and attention to detail and punctuality.
  • Experience installing audio-visual, teleconferencing, and related control systems preferred
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Ability to climb a ladder
  • Maintain a valid driver's license and be able to get to and from jobsites independently
  • Be willing and able to travel out of town to various project sites for extended periods of time
  • Be open to working after hours with advanced notice.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
