Job Title: Respiratory Therapist
Location: Michigan
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, the Respiratory Therapist delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring, and various medical gas therapies to patients. Responsibilities include performing invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures for patients in Intensive Care and General Practice Units, maintaining clinical expertise for departmental assignments across various business units, and effectively communicating with patients, co-workers, physicians, and other system employees regarding patient care needs. The role also involves documenting all aspects of patient care, supervising and delegating tasks to other Respiratory Therapists, orients, externs, and students, and completing accurate patient billing information.
Required Qualifications:
• Two years of recent Respiratory Therapist experience.
• Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program.
• Registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current License - Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
• BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy.
