  • Role: Litigation Junior Litigation Associate Attorney
  • Location: Greenville, SC
  • Job Type: Fulltime - Onsite


Position Overview:

We are seeking an entry-level Litigation Associate to join a growing litigation practice in Greenville, SC. This position will support a variety of civil litigation matters, with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense, as well as commercial and general litigation.

The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent research and writing skills, demonstrated interest in litigation, and the ability to work collaboratively while developing strong litigation skills.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with medical malpractice, commercial, and general civil litigation matters.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
  • Assist with drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents.
  • Support attorneys with case preparation, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Assist with deposition and hearing preparation.
  • Review and organize case documents, evidence, and legal materials.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and collaborate with attorneys and support staff.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage assigned tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Develop practical litigation skills under the guidance of experienced attorneys.


Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic performance.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in litigation.
  • Moot Court, Law Journal, judicial clerkship, or similar law school experience preferred.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and demonstrate intellectual curiosity.
  • Active South Carolina Bar license preferred.
  • Candidates who have passed the UBE and MPRE within the past three years with scores qualifying for South Carolina admission will also be considered.


Compensation:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
