  • ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

    REPORTS TO: PROJECT EXECUTIVE

    ROLE DESCRIPTION

    The Assistant Project Manager role is responsible for in assisting the PM on overall project

    management, estimating change orders, cost control, forecasting and scheduling multiple

    projects through final project completion.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • •Ability to learn and adapt to current Field Production Tracking systems.
    • •Strong project organizational skills particularly as it pertains to manpower requirements,
    • schedule, and on-site logistics.
    • •Ability to interact with consistent integrity, compassion, and empathy with all.
    • •Excellent time management skills. This includes prioritization of requests and obligations.
    • •Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both oral and written
    • •Computer literacy – moderately skilled with Microsoft Office Suite software
    • •Good analytical Skills

    EXPECTATIONS

    • •Attend internal project turnover meeting with the goal of obtaining all information needed
    • to run a successful job.
    • •Actively attend all required weekly on-site project meetings.
    • •Maintain, keep current, and fully understand all contract documents including but not
    • limited to permits, utility work orders, plans, specs, schedules, submittals, and shop drawings.
    • •Develop to become competent with reviewing drawings / specifications and preparing
    • detailed change orders by assigning material and labor values to work performed.
    • •Prepare and manage communications internally and with GCs or construction managers for
    • assigned projects.
    • •Collaborate with PMs to understand the fundamental knowledge and processes of effective
    • project management.
    • •Develop to become competent with understanding the complete scope of work, project
    • schedule, construction workflow, change orders and required documentation.
    • •Monitor project budgets and labor costs.
    • •Assist with managing material buy outs and releases alongside Procurement as requested.
    • •Attend project walk-through meetings for bidding purposes and job tracking.
    • •Maintain regular communication and collaboration with Estimators, Project Managers and
    • Project Foremen.
    • •Travel to various project sites as required.
    • •Develop/maintain network of professional relationships within the industry.
    • •Submittals, purchase orders, materials contracts, and subcontracts, change orders, as-built
    • documents, and to ensure the high quality of all work performed at a job site.
    • •Manage all job closeout procedures including warranty documents, as-builts, final inspections, etc.
