Salary:

General Summary: Assist the project manager with overall project planning, scheduling, project cost accounting, quality control, resource allocation and customer relations of construction project(s).


Essential Functions:

  • Maintain accurate project files and produce reports as needed or requested.
  • Solicit subcontractors for contracted work.
  • Effectively communicate project(s) status to, coordinate with, and manage expectations of management, Superintendents and clients.
  • Define project parameters in terms of time, money, physical objectives and outside constraints.
  • Perform, procure, review, and approve job estimates, submittals, change orders, pay apps, RFIs, and close out documents.
  • Prepare contracts/negotiate revisions to contractual agreements with clients, suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Interact with clients and customers as needed.
  • Together with Superintendent create project schedule and assist with daily management as needed.
  • Continuously looks for ways to improve results or outcomes to increase customer satisfaction and decrease the bottom line.
  • Review and evaluate construction methods, contract documents and project drawings to determine cost effectiveness of plans and project profitability.

Bachelor Degree in Construction Management. This is an entry level position. Expert in computer usage including Microsoft Office and the Internet.


Work Conditions:Conditions described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully and safely perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.

Environment: Regular work schedules. However, overtime may be required if necessary to complete projects or specialized training. This position works majority in a climate controlled office and occasionally in outdoor conditions including extreme heat or cold. Occasional travel, including overnight, may be required. Occasionally wears site required PPE.

Physical: This position is defined as Light. Work involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally using any combination of body, hands, fingers, arms, legs, or feet to complete work. Walking and standing, and sitting to a significant degree.

Other: This position requires reliable transportation, steel toed boots, and passing DOT drug and alcohol test.
