Assistant Project Manager - Pavement Marking & Highway Safety

Location: Bridgeport, CT Reports to: CT Project Manager(s) Company: Safety Marking LLC

Safety Marking LLC is one of the Northeast's leading pavement marking and highway safety contractors. We're known for quality work, a strong safety culture, and a fleet of specialized equipment that keeps us at the forefront of the industry. We support state DOTs, municipalities, and commercial clients-and we're growing fast.

This role supports the CT Operations team in planning, coordinating, and delivering roadway safety projects across the region.

What You'll Do

  • Support Project Managers in coordinating crews, equipment, materials, and daily work plans.
  • Maintain project files and manage the flow of information across teams.
  • Assist with building and updating project schedules.
  • Analyze project data to identify issues, track performance, and recommend improvements.
  • Help manage project financials, including costs, estimates, and invoices.
  • Use project management and scheduling software accurately and consistently.
  • Perform administrative and tracking tasks to keep projects organized and on schedule.
  • Support project closeout, reporting, and documentation.
  • Communicate progress and updates to the Project Manager throughout each project.

Schedule

Fulltime, inperson role with seasonal variation.

  • OffSeason (Jan-Mar): ~40 hours/week
  • InSeason (Mar-Dec): 40+ hours/week with required overtime
  • Core hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday-Friday
