Job Title: Machine Repair Project ManagerJob Description

The Machine Repair Project Manager oversees industrial machine repair and stamping press repair projects across the region. This position suits an experienced maintenance professional, machine repair technician, millwright, lead foreman, maintenance supervisor, or project manager who wants to step into or advance within a leadership role with an established industrial contractor. The role focuses on managing multiple projects at once, coordinating field personnel, supporting customers, and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule. The organization provides training and mentorship in estimating and project bidding for candidates transitioning from a hands-on maintenance background into project management.

Responsibilities
  • Manage machine repair and industrial maintenance projects from initial planning through final completion.
  • Lead and coordinate project teams ranging from 10 to 30 employees to deliver high-quality results.
  • Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Collaborate closely with operations, estimating teams, customers, and field personnel to align project goals and expectations.
  • Conduct occasional site visits, approximately 1–2 times per month, to monitor project progress and support field teams.
  • Assist in developing project estimates and customer proposals, including scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Maintain and track project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects remain on time and within scope.
  • Communicate regularly with customers to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and industry standards throughout project execution.
  • Uphold quality standards for machine repair, stamping press work, and industrial maintenance activities.

Essential Skills
  • At least 7 years of stamping press repair experience in industrial or manufacturing settings.
  • Hands-on machine repair and industrial maintenance experience with industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Experience working in manufacturing, stamping, automotive, or industrial environments.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage field teams ranging from 10 to 30 employees.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively coordinate with operations, estimating, customers, and field personnel.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, with ability to pass an MVR (motor vehicle record) check.

Work Environment

This is a permanent, office-based position located in Walker, MI, within a collaborative team environment that includes experienced operations and estimating professionals. A company vehicle and company credit card are provided to support travel and project-related activities. The organization operates as an established industrial contractor with approximately 800 employees and partners with large industrial and manufacturing customers throughout Michigan. Pay and Benefits
