Description

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level HVAC Assembly Technician to join a growing commercial/industrial team. This is not a basic “bolt-it-together” position, you will be responsible for the full layout, piping, and wiring of specialized HVAC equipment from start to finish.
In this role, you will work directly from blueprints and schematics to mount motors and mechanical components, route and secure piping, run and terminate wiring, and solder refrigerant lines. You'll be hands-on throughout the entire build process, taking ownership from initial layout to final assembly.
The ideal candidate has foundational experience with piping systems, cable routing, equipment mounting, and basic wiring in commercial or industrial environments. Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production or shop setting are essential. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to grow their skills within large-scale HVAC assembly and industrial mechanical systems.

Qualifications:

  • Layout equipment on skids and mount/align motors and bearings
  • Route and install refrigerant piping, instrument air piping, and perform all required soldering
  • Route and install electrical cabling and conduits according to job orders
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and product schematics to ensure every build meets specifications
  • Reassemble all types of equipment after the coating process is complete
  • Operate a forklift to safely move equipment and supplies around the shop
  • Coordinate with the Engineering team and Shop Supervisors to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Complete assigned tasks within the bid hours with little to no rework
  • Partner with a Lead Mechanic or Supervisor during your initial onboarding to learn company-specific standards

Requirements:

  • Valid driver's license
  • At least 3 years of HVAC assembly experience, specifically with refrigerant piping, soldering, and electrical circuits
  • Possession of a personal basic mechanic tool set, including wrenches, drills, and crimpers
  • Ability to operate a forklift and communicate clearly with the team in English
  • Strong logical planning skills and the ability to work productively in a team environment
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • EPA Certification is a plus
