Description: About the Role

AOP Technologies is seeking an entry-level Assembly Technician Level 1 to join our Production team. This hands-on role is responsible for basic mechanical assembly, kitting, packaging, material verification, and related manufacturing activities in accordance with documented work instructions, drawings, bills of material, quality requirements, and established company procedures.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, reliable, and interested in learning foundational production practices in a structured manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing or assembly experience is helpful but not required.

What You’ll Do

· Perform basic mechanical assembly, kitting, packaging, and related production work according to documented requirements.

· Read and follow work instructions, project worksheets, bills of material, basic assembly drawings, specifications, and other production documentation.

· Verify components and materials against bills of material and job documentation before and during production.

· Use approved hand tools, power tools, fixtures, jigs, pneumatic tube cutters, crimpers, and other production equipment safely and appropriately.

· Follow torque requirements, tolerances, workmanship standards, assembly procedures, and quality requirements.

· Apply approved thread sealants, tape, lubricants, adhesives, or other assembly materials as instructed.

· Perform in-process inspections and visual checks to confirm completed work meets quality expectations.

· Identify and communicate defects, damaged or incorrect components, documentation discrepancies, material shortages, or process concerns.

· Stop and ask questions when instructions, specifications, materials, or process requirements are unclear.

· Complete production documentation accurately and report labor time and required job information.

· Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional workstation.

· Participate in required training and support continuous improvement in safety, quality, organization, and efficiency.

Requirements: What We’re Looking For

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn basic mechanical assembly processes.

· Ability to safely use common hand tools and learn basic power tools, fixtures, and production equipment.

· Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions, bills of material, basic drawings, and documented procedures.

· Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize missing, incorrect, damaged, or nonconforming components.

· Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and interpreting basic dimensions and quantities.

· Ability to develop a basic understanding of pneumatic components, terminology, and safe work practices.
