Job Description:

IT Developer II

Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain applications using Visual Basic (.NET). Write optimized and efficient SQL queries for reports. Collaborate with business analysts, stakeholders, and team members to define technical requirements. Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications. Ensure code quality, security, and performance best practices. Participate in code reviews and work with the team-lead. Document technical designs, development processes, and application updates.

We are seeking Developer II in software development to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong SQL skills and hands-on experience in .NET development. This role involves designing, developing, researching, testing, and maintaining applications to support business needs.

Competencies Needed:

Experience in .NET development using Visual Basic, C#

Strong proficiency in SQL Server (writing queries).

Understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles.

Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

Exposure to Agile development methodologies.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/GED and two (2) years programming experience;

OR

  • Associate degree with 1 year of programming experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Preference will be given to those applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, also possess ALL or more of the following:

Programming Languages: C#, VB.NET, HTML, XML, Java Script, C, C++. .

Net Technology: C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, Web Services, WPF, WCF

Databases: SQL Server

Web Protocols: HTTP, REST, SOAP.

Development Tools: Visual Studio, Visual Source Safe, Azure Dev Ops (Development Tools)

Reporting Tools: SQL Reporting, Post Cres SQL

Operating Systems: Windows, UNIX, Linux.
