Whether you have experience in martial arts, or other sports-or you're brand new but eager to learn-we'll provide the training you'll need to succeed in our supportive and uplifting environment.
As a Ninja Warrior & Parkour Coach, you'll bring the energy, enthusiasm, and encouragement that makes every class an unforgettable experience. You'll lead safe, high-energy ninja classes for athletes of all ages and skill levels-always with a smile and a supportive spirit. With positivity and structure, you'll help kids develop confidence, coordination, strength, and teamwork, while inspiring them to discover the joy of movement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Instruct weekly ninja classes for preschool, beginner, and intermediate-level athletes.
  • Create a welcoming and supportive class environment aligned with Dominique Dawes Academy's philosophy of holistic child development.
  • Follow class plans, skill progressions, and safety protocols provided by the academy's leadership team.
  • Provide age-appropriate instruction that challenges athletes while encouraging progress and fun.
  • Offer verbal and physical spotting and corrections to ensure skill development and safety.
  • Positively engage with parents before and after classes to provide feedback and build community.
  • Maintain a clean and organized training space and assist in setting up/taking down equipment as needed.
  • Monitor athletes closely and respond promptly to injuries or safety concerns, following gym protocols.
  • Collaborate with teammates and management to ensure smooth class transitions and rotations.
  • Attend required staff training sessions, team meetings, and seasonal evaluations.
  • Represent the academy's values of respect, teamwork, and excellence in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Work Schedule & Environment
  • Weekday afternoon/evening and weekend morning shifts available
  • Classes are held in an indoor gym environment with frequent interaction with children and families
  • Must be available for consistent weekly scheduling during the school year

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to demonstrate physical skills and actively engage with students
  • Frequent standing, walking, kneeling, lifting, and moving equipment
  • Must be able to spot athletes safely and provide physical assistance as needed
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 lbs. and work in a physically active, fast-paced environment
