Job Description

AECOM is hosting an exclusive, invitation-only hiring event in New York, New York October 15th and 16th.   This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm , where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects, career paths, and the company itself. You’ll also have the chance to meet other students, recent graduates, and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday, interviews will take place at our New York office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM  is seeking an Entry-Level Architectural Designer  to be based in Bloomfield, NJ

This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2027 or as discussed.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Performing basic architectural/engineering calculations.
  • Preparing specifications, reports and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.
  • Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may perform technical assignments of moderate complexity within approved schedules and budgets. 
  • May coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or in another related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, Open Buildings and other computer applications.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
  • This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Bloomfield, NJ. The selected candidate must be available to work in Bloomfield, NJ on a scheduled basis.
