B-Level Automotive Technician — University Auto Center
Hollywood, FL | Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. | No weekends

University Auto Center is a locally owned independent repair shop serving Hollywood, FL for 26 years under the same ownership. We have a strong 5-star reputation, modern diagnostic equipment, digital inspections, professional service advisors, and a steady customer base.

We are hiring a proven B-Level Automotive Technician who can independently diagnose and repair common vehicle problems, complete work at a professional pace, and take ownership of assigned repair orders with limited supervision.


This is not an entry-level, apprentice, lube-tech, or tire-tech position.


Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, A/C, electrical concerns, engine-performance concerns, and common drivability issues
  • Perform maintenance and repairs accurately and efficiently while minimizing comebacks
  • Complete digital vehicle inspections and clearly document findings and recommended repairs
  • Communicate promptly with the service advisor about additional work, parts needs, and repair timing
  • Test-drive and verify repairs when appropriate
  • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area

Minimum qualifications

  • At least 3 years of recent full-time automotive repair-shop experience
  • Able to independently diagnose and complete common repairs with limited supervision
  • Complete professional tool set for B-level repair work
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • ASE certifications strongly preferred; applicants without them must demonstrate equivalent hands-on diagnostic and repair ability

Pay and schedule

  • $25–$30 per hour base pay, based on verified experience, ASE credentials, diagnostic ability, and production
  • $25 bonus for each billable hour over 35 in a week
  • Up to 40 paid hours per week when scheduled and worked
  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. — no weekends
  • Paid time off
